The performers heard on Conquer The World: The Lost Soul of Philadelphia International Records, one of the latest releases from Philadelphia International/Legacy, comprise a Who's Who of 'lost soul' artists: Pat & The Blenders, David Sigler & Dee Dee Sharp, Bunny Sigler, Soul Devalents, Johnny Williams, Frankie & The Spindles, Carolyn Crawford, Love Committee, Yellow Sunshine, Ruth McFadden, and Bobby Bennett. To heighten the impact of Conquer The World, the album is only available in a limited edition gatefold 12-inch vinyl LP configuration - no CD. Joe McEwen, one of the compilation producers, writes "Conquer The World is full of names that never went far beyond the neighborhoods and bars of Philadelphia: local stars such as Bobby Bennett, the Soul Devalents, Pat & the Blenders, and Love Committee (formerly the beloved Ethics).
